Grant Honis

We were handing out invitations for Easter Sunday in the neighborhood around our church. We met a man named Grant Honis and he too was an Evangelist.

Grant came up with a great way to share the gospel with someone. He told us that one afternoon he was talking to a man about Jesus. The man said, “Everything that you want to tell me you should be able to convey to me in 5 words”. What came to mind was “Jesus paid…or you will”. Grant explained, as we live our lives here on earth we all create a bill right, that everything we have thought, said or did that was wrong has to be paid for.

God is loving, but he is holy and like any good judge he has to judge honestly and fairly. God knew that mankind was hopelessly trapped and so he sent someone to pay that bill for us. That was Jesus, the one who was born to take the punishment for our sins.

So the choice is yours, you can accept that amazing offer and let Jesus pay your bill. The bible says in the book of John 3:16:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. “

You do this by allowing him to be the Lord of your life.
